Welcome, my friends, to this Blue Moon Guided Meditation for the Blue Moon occurring on Sunday, May 31st.
This blue moon is a reminder that life moves in cycles. Some seasons ask us to build, some ask us to rest, and some, like this one, ask us to release.
Blue moons are rare. They arrive when there is an extra full moon in a calendar cycle. And spiritually that energy feels significant, amplified, illuminating, emotional, honest. This moon invites us to pause long enough to notice what is complete, what no longer fits, what we've outgrown.
What we're finally ready to stop carrying.
The energy of a blue moon can feel emotional because it shines light into the places we usually avoid. Old stories, old fears, old identities, old versions of ourselves that once protected us, but are no longer meant to lead us. But this is not a punishment. It's a clearing.
A sacred invitation to soften your grip on what has already run its course.
This blue moon is not about forcing. It is not about becoming someone else overnight. It's about remembering who you are underneath the noise. So allow this moon to hold you. Allow yourself to release. Allow yourself to begin again.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Another deep breath in and let it go.
Now gently close your eyes.
Imagine yourself standing beneath a vast night sky. The air is still and quiet and cool against your skin.
Above you hangs the blue full moon, large and glowing and ancient.
Its light pours down around you like silver water.
With each breath you begin to feel lighter, safer, and more connected to yourself.
Notice what this moonlight reveals. Not through force, not through overthinking, just awareness. What are you tired of carrying?
What pattern are you ready to release?
What version of yourself are you ready to thank and let go?
Without judgment, simply notice what rises. Maybe it's pressure, maybe it's fear, perhaps it's exhaustion or the need to prove yourself. Maybe it's guilt, maybe it's the belief that you have to do more to be worthy.
Whatever appears, let the moonlight illuminate it.
Breathe in deeply. And as you exhale, imagine releasing that weight from your body.
Feel it leaving your shoulders, your chest, your nervous system. You do not need to carry everything forward. The blue moon reminds us that completion is sacred too.
Now imagine the moonlight filling every space that has opened within you. Soft silver light moving through your heart, your mind, your body, your spirit. This light brings with it clarity, peace, trust, intuition.
You are allowed to evolve, you are allowed to change. You are allowed to want something different now.
Take another slow breath in and silently repeat I release what no longer aligns with who I am becoming.
And again I trust the timing of my life.
And one more, I make space for what is meant for me.
Stay here for a few moments, breathing, receiving, and softening.
And when you're ready, begin bringing awareness back to your body. Notice the surface beneath you. Notice your breath. Notice the calm within you.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently open your eyes.
The moon will continue her work long after this full moon. You do not need to have all the answers right now. Just honor what has been revealed, honor what is ending, and honor what is beginning. Trust that what you release creates space for what is next.
For those of you wanting to take this blue moon energy work even deeper, here are a few simple blue moon practices that are available to every practitioner. You do not need an elaborate ritual to work with this energy. Simple intentional practices are enough.
One, journaling under the moon Grab your journal and freely write about what you are ready to release, what cycle feels complete, what you deeply desire moving forward, what your intuition has been trying to tell you.
two, a release ritual on a blank sheet of paper, record your limiting beliefs, fears, habits, or emotional weight you no longer wish to carry. These could be beliefs and fears about your ability to change, worries for the future or uncertainty about what's next. Record all of these things on a sheet of paper.
and then safely burn or tear the paper as a symbolic act of release.
three, Moonlight Meditation Spend a few quiet moments outside beneath the full moon. Allow yourself to simply breathe, receive, and reconnect with your inner wisdom.
four. Energy cleansing. Take a salt bath, use smoke cleansing, sound healing reiki or breathwork to intentionally clear stagnant energy from your body in space.
If you need support with this type of cleansing, don't hesitate to reach out and schedule a virtual cleansing, sound healing, or Reiki session with me. The links are in the show notes. Five, charge your tools. Place your crystals, tarot cards, journals, or other meaningful objects under the moonlight to absorb the reflective, intuitive energy of the blue moon.
Six, create space. Declutter a drawer, a room, your calendar, or even your mind. Blue moon energy supports completion and energetic clearing.
Last, rest intentionally. Not every ritual requires action. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do during a blue moon is to slow down enough to listen to yourself again. May this blue moon remind you that release is not loss. It's preparation. It's trust. It's making room for the life that is waiting for you.
