Welcome to this new moon meditation. Take a moment to settle into your space, find a comfortable position, whether seated or lying down, and allow your body to soften. Close your eyes if that feels safe and begin by taking a slow deep breath in and gently exhale. Let yourself arrive fully in this moment.
With each inhale, invite in calm and clarity. With each exhale, release any tension or heaviness you've been carrying.
The new moon is a time of beginnings. Unlike the bright full moon that illuminates the sky, the new moon is invisible to the naked eye. Its darkness is symbolic and invites us inward into stillness, into possibility. The new moon represents a blank slate, a fertile ground for planting seeds of intention. Just as the moon will soon begin its journey of growth and illumination, so too can you begin again.
This is a time for renewal, for setting goals, for whispering your desires into the universe.
Imagine now the darkened sky above you, a vast canvas, quiet and open. In this darkness, nothing is yet to find, but everything is possible.
Take a breath and imagine yourself standing in a peaceful clearing under that sky. The air is cool, still, and alive with potential.
As you breathe, bring to mind one seed of intention you wish to implant in your life. It may be a new habit, a dream, a relationship, or simply more peace in your day to day.
Visualize this intention as a small seed in the palm of your hand. See it glowing faintly with your energy, holding the power of new beginnings.
Gently place the seed into the soil before you. With every breath, imagine nourishing it with your attention, with your hope, with your belief. The new moon watches silently, offering her support, reminding you that growth takes time, but always unfolds.
Stay here for a few breaths, silently affirming to yourself. I plant my intentions with love. I trust in my growth. I welcome new beginnings.
When you're ready, bring awareness back to your body. Notice the rise and fall of your breath.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Know that just like the seed you planted, your intentions are alive within you. As the moon waxes and grows in light, so too will your intentions gather strength and clarity.
Take one last deep breath and when you're ready, slowly open your eyes. Welcome the new moon, welcome your new beginnings.
